We had a dingo around camp last night - spotted when Mary and I were photographing star trails. So no shoes or food out tonight. From bed I could hear the dingo drinking water from the camper bucket, he/she drank heaps.
Awesomely warm night for me.
We headed off from camp and our dingo was straight in after us to check it out. We left nothing.
Phil had some more running repairs on the fuel tank rubber strap which keeps working it’s way loose.
Stopped for a view on the salt pan. The surface is super crunchy and soft silty clay dirt underneath. A real trap when wet
Lined up on the salt pan. We had lunch here.
Some sculptural tufts
And a stick
Phil popped the bonnet and like flies they were drawn
Crossing towards Poeppel corner and the meeting of the States - QLD NT and SA.
Replica corner post
Stopped for the obligatory corner shots at Poeppel Corner. Steve had a quick fly.
Mary and I went out onto the salt pan to play with cameras again. Good fun. Steve came for a little while. Despite no moon the star light was quite bright and you could see well with the white salt pan reflect the light.
