23.6.18 - Departure Day...for most of us.

So today is departure day for most. Unfortunately, Steve, Sarah and Reve have had a hiccup with some illness in the family which has prevented them getting away.

Steve texted us all yesterday, so arrangements were made to collect the Field of Lights tickets, my jerry can and the Satellite phone.  Thanks to Stef, Milani, Mary and Phil for that.

Colour in the East on a Frosty morning at Dad's

Nice colour for first day on the road. 

After doing a few odds and ends for Dad this morning, it was off to town to recharge the wi-fi device and then headed off about 10am.

I took the scenic route, via NSW - the Backroads route. Bunnaloo, Barham, Moulamein, Kyalite, Balranald, Euston, Gol Gol and other small places in between.

Give way to cattle. I'd passed through a whole mob, but this girl needed to cross the river.

After seeing lots of dead looking trees, stopped to buy some Pistachios...that's what the dry trees were.

A bigger river than I expected

Pit stop. Sun shining, no jumper required and no wind. Glorious.

Now awaiting the arrival of Stef, Milani, Mary and Phil, they are a fair way behind, should arrive at 8.00 and 9.30 ish maybe.

We have cabins in Mildura tonight, at All Seasons Holiday Park.
