17 June. Less than a week and counting...final itinerary (or rough guide)

Hello to all our followers.

Please find the latest itinerary, which will provide us a rough guide for  the trip.

The first part of trip...for me via Echuca, not sure of others. See more maps below

Hi all,

So apparently I didn't do a formal report from our last trip meeting. Talking numerous times to all involved was not good enough - sorry, my bad....

For the sake of formality here is what was confirmed - as much as we confirm anything anyway.

We head off on Fri/Sat depending on who is doing what and go straight to Uluru  to do the Field of Lights thing the night we get there - Tue 26 June.

After this we do a bit of a meander, with the following proposed route:

Kings Canyon, Gosse Bluff, Palm Valley, Boggy Hole (to see if Phil and Mary have improved their Finke Rv driving skills), Illamurta Springs, Henbury Meteor Craters, Old Owen Springs to Alice with a restock/washing etc day in Alice??

This would mean around 8 or 9 days until we get to Alice for catering purposes (with probably a few purchased meals on the way).

Following this we  head out to N'Dhala Gorge, Trephina Gorge, Arltunga, Ruby Gap/Glen Annie Gorge, Cattlewater Pass Track, Arltunga Tourist Drive and back in to Alice for another restock. This part of the trip may only be around 3 days.

Leaving Alice we head to Chambers Pillar, and hopefully some exploring across to the Old Andado Track, Old Andado, Mt Dare (of course), Dalhousie (to visit Trevor the First), and across the Simpson. Only an estimation but this may take 9 or 10 days to get to Birdsville.

After Birdsville Mary and Phil head north east to Airlie Beach and the rest off to Innamincka via Walkers Crossing, maybe Coongie, and then maybe down past Lake Frome.

So for us heading to Innamincka and home, we will get a chance to do a minor restock of basics at Birdsville, and whatever is in the store at Innamincka but the max from Alice to home would be around 15 or 16 days for catering.

All subject to change of course.......

Getting there.

Col and Greg will probably leave Fri.

Nic to Echuca Fri? and meeting up with Stef and Milani on Sat who are allegedly leaving Sat morning.

Mary, Phil, Sarah, Reve, and SS to leave Mt Waverley around 2:00 Sat.

We all meet at Woomera Sun night? Col, sorry not sure if you are meeting us there or further up the track?

Apparently Stef has an issue/complex about this as it seems that nobody wants to travel with him until absolutely necessary!!

And because of this Nic we can't help you with photos for your blog because Stef would not be in any group photos we may have taken to date.......

I hope this all helps. 

I will bring a roast beefy for our pre-Alice probably around Boggy Hole roast.
