A lovely warm night. Able to sleep with less layers and no socks!!!!
Up a bit later to the fire restoked - Reve and Steve were up first I think.

| Check out those wrinkles in the rock. |
| Looking up. Perfect blue sky. |
Then off to Trephina Gorge.
En route we stopped to look at the Ghost Gum, a beautiful old tree.

| Bird circling. |

| Us and the GG. |
Onwards to Trephina Gorge. We split into two with the majority doing the Gorge Walk which took us up the top of Gorge and down into the Valley and Milani and Reve took the Gorge Stroll along the Gorge floor.

| People had left rocks to form a wall. |

Mary and I were a tad behind the others, this shot looking down on them. Reve and Milani were waiting with the rest of the gang. |

Very clear instructions. We figure being quite close to Alice Springs there would be many overseas visitors at times. |
| The turnaround point. |
| Some of the colours in the rocks. |
| Oops sideways not sure how to fix that right now. |
The colours of a burnt tree. We wondered if it might have been struck by lightning. |
| The NT toilet - all those in the Park have looked like this |
We took off from Trephina towards Arltunga for lunch with our final destination to be Ruby Gap.
Thankfully we encountered no road trains. Only a couple of teeny trucks. |
| Two vehicles kicking up the dust in front. |
Lunch stop. Avocado and Vegemite on Cruskits for the Dundek’s |
| Typical lunch on the road. |
| Cold meat, tomato sandwiches for the boys. |
A pretty good sanga. Tuna, cheese, asparagus, spinach, beetroot and capsicum. Yum. |
| Real yum. |
| Ham and salad rolls for the Davey’s. |
| Tuna, cheese, spinach on cruskits. |
| A gold rush was not to last long. |
| There was a Hotel there. |
| Unfortunately a pub with no beer. |
| One of the road signs. |
Coming up to a gate. We passed through a couple of Stations today - Loves Creek, White Range. |
Entering Ruby Gap. We paid our camping fees here. $3.30 per adult per night. |
| All about it. |

| A discussion about something or other. |
We drove up to the near the end of the Gorge, we decided not to camp in the Riverbed as it can have flash floods. We backtracked over some pretty rocky and sandy tracks to a camp above the river. Collected firewood and settled in for the night.
The wood burnt really hot and long. Much milder tonight.
Had a quick shower in Mary and Phil’s shower. The camper heats the water and has an outside shower - a quick wash was awesome as it was a dusty day.

| Burning the Rubbish. |
| Sitting by the fire. Ahh at the end of yet another day. |
Love the colours in the rocks! Ghost gums are my favourite native tree!
