7.7.18 -NOT Alice Springs (somewhere off CWPTrack) to AS

So this morning we awoke to a nice sunrise.

Last night we sat around the nice warm fire and watched for shooting stars - saw a couple before bed.

Up and at em, pack up bedding, clothing etc. then cuppa tea or three and breaky. Thermoses filled. Tent packed. De prickle shoes etc. and we are off to find a way out of here.

Loo with a view.

Here we all are including Susan and Stephen Hobson. Stephen is an artist. Check him out at www.stephenhobson.com.au

Someone who didn’t find a way out of their pickle.

Good as new.

A cattle yard.
We arrived at Alice Springs early afternoon and it was looking like we wouldn’t get to find a bed. Thankfully Mary had been ringing all the caravan parks on the way in and one returned her call and we actually got up some bush camps with access to all the necessities of water and toilets and showers and laundry at the Heritage Caravan Park. The usual ensued, set up, get showered, wash everything we are not standing is in.

It is the Alice Springs Show and yesterday was a Show Day Holiday, the caravan park is quite full with many dog trailers, obviously showing their dogs.
After washing etc, we raced down the street to top up with alcohol and shopping, Coles was so busy, filled with a good mix of locals and travellers just like us. I also needed somethings from Woolies, which was just across the car park and was almost deserted in comparison.

We were once again treated to fireworks, just across the road, we really had one of the best views. The phone didn't take great shots...but never the less here are some of the shots.

After the fireworks we were booked into the Eastside Club in Eastside for tea, so we took off to meet the others for dinner, Stef and Milani went straight from shopping and Col and Greg left a little before us. Unfortunately, the fireworks also signalled the end of the show and we were stuck in show traffic for a bit.

Macca's was our meeting place, this was our dessert, as the icecream shop was shut. Mc Flurries all round.
